For the past 18 years, Opera and Ballet patrons have enjoyed the convenience and fine dining experience of dinner steps away from their seats at the Acute Café.

Located in the Wortham Theater Center’s exclusive Founders Salon, the Acute Cafe is a reservation only dining facility offering a 3 or 4-course meal to complement your evening's performance.

A new menu is offered with each new production that is performed by the Houston Grand Opera or Houston Ballet.

Make your evening more memorable by dining at the Acute Cafe and enjoy coffee and dessert during intermission.

To insure your evening flows as smoothly as a symphony, reservations and menu selections are a must and need to be placed 24 hours prior to the performance, please.

Each meal is custom made and we sincerely want to you have a highly enjoyable, memorable evening. To help things run seamlessly, we ask that you please abide by the following: 

Reservations- can be emailed to reservations@acuteevents.com or phoned in to 713.528.1133, Extension 3. Reservation confirmations will be emailed after processing, usually within 24 hours. A reservation is not confirmed without a confirmation number. A credit card is needed in advance to hold the reservation.

Reservation Deadline- the reservation deadline for all weekday (Mon-Fri) performances is 12 noon of the day before the desired performance reservation; the reservation deadline for all weekend (Sat/Sun) performances is 12 noon the Friday before the desired performance date.

Cancellations- reservation cancellations made 24 hours before the desired performance date will not be charged. Cancellations made the day of a performance will still be charged to the credit card on file.

Changes- reservation changes made less than 24 hours before the desired performance date cannot be guaranteed.

Parties of 6 or more will be charged 20% gratuity.
